Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje re-launched her dream project for women's financial independence - Bhamashah Scheme
The scheme had been initiated by Ms Raje in her previous tenure but was discontinued by the subsequent Congress government.
Named after a general during Maharana Pratap's rule, the scheme aims to introduce transparency in delivery of benefits under public welfare schemes.
The idea behind the scheme is to ensure that benefits reach those who need them and wastage is reduced, if not completely done away with.
Financial benefits from Government’s other projects will all be deposited in the same bank. Rajasthan government will be investing Rs.600 crore on Project.
